Digital Innovation Festival: Lethaby Gallery
Back in July 2022 we were invited by the university Central Saint Martins’s Digital Innovation team to teach 16-18 year olds students interested in design and art schools on how to create AR artworks with @artiviveapp.
Prior to the session, the students developed some visual works in teams using techniques such as mark-making, drawing, collage, photography and 3D scanning. As a result, we took that existing work and got the teams to co-create posters and get them to trigger animations and really fun 3D motion-capture avatars from the 3D scanning workshop and animated by the team at CSM!
They exhibited their final AR posters at Lethaby Gallery in King’s Cross, London for the public as part of the Digital Innovation Festival!
We also ran an open drop-in AR workshop with members of the public where they made their own posters using Canva and brought them to life in AR using Artivive App again.
